Welcome to St. Martin’s in the Field

Seasonal Sunday Services in Biddeford Pool, Maine

Everyone is Welcome

St. Martin's in the Field is a summer chapel in the Episcopal Diocese of Maine, open only during the months of July and August through Labor Day.

Although we are officially Episcopal and use the Episcopal liturgy, everyone is welcome to enjoy any of our activities.

Our congregation and Church Committee include people of many denominations and backgrounds who treasure our neighborly traditions and opportunities for refreshment offered by our special seaside community.

2024 Schedule of Services

St. Martin’s in the Field holds services each Sunday in the summer.

This year, our calendar runs from June 30, 2024 to September 1, 2024.

There are two services each Sunday:

  • 8:30 AM Holy Eucharist (Rite II) with childcare. We gather to share communion and sing, accompanied by our new organ. Children are welcome at worship in the pews, or to spend time in the childcare gathering, or a combination of both.

  • 11:15 AM Morning Prayer (Rite I) with Holy Eucharist on the first Sunday of the month. This worship time offers the lovely Cranmerian English poetry of the Rite I services
